Accounts Payable Specialist

What You’ll Do The Accounts Payable (AP) Specialist is responsible for the accurate and timely posting of assigned AP transactions.

The primary responsibility will be to process, verify, balance, and adjust payable transactions requiring the use of independent judgement.

An integral part of this role is liaising with internal project managers, subcontractors and franchisees proactively.

The AP Specialist is expected to seek and participate in continuous improvements in productivity.

Responsibilities Process daily, weekly and monthly transactions related to the payment of subcontractors and franchisees.

Process assigned accounts payable.

Assist with the reconciliation of the CRM software to the accounting software.

Preparing and processing assigned work in progress and billings to ensure that payments are processed timely, accurately and consistently within contractual requirements.

Researching and resolving payable issues with external and internal customers.

Offering recommendations for improvement and implementing new processes.

Participate in accounting projects as needed.

Job Requirements: What We’re Looking For in You 3 years’ experience; project accounting experience preferred.

Experience with Dynamics GP and/or related Accounting Software preferred.

Advanced Excel knowledge.

Flexibility and the ability to work in a changing environment.

A team player who is an effective oral and written communicator.

Performs work accurately and an attention to detail and a sense of ownership.
