Finance brings together enterprise functions that drive Wells Fargo’s financial management, including accounting and control, financial planning and analysis, line of business finance, asset-liability management, treasury, tax management, and the company’s investment portfolios. They also inform shareholders, regulators, taxing authorities, employees, and leaders of the company’s financial performance through earnings releases, investor meetings and conferences, and meetings with regulators and credit rating agencies, following appropriate reporting guidelines.

This exciting role in Expense Analytics & Allocation (EAA) group will have dedicated business activities in support of managing expense distributions across the organization.  This Senior Consultant will focus on building business finance and controller relationships across various international teams.  Monthly deliverables include analysis for expense charges versus recoveries, working closely with finance partners for any methodology or recovery driver updates, and strategic planning around new services requested, GL accounts and costing accounting rules.  EAA works in a fast paced environment with a tight production window.  Ideal candidate will be flexible, excel in team environment and focus on team best practices and standardization.

As a Senior Costing Consultant, the successful candidate will: 
• Work closely with Finance Manager on team training, consultation and special assignments;  
• Lead cross working teams in broad finance initiatives, including Service Governance Office deliverables such as service/methodology challenges, Component Provider/Service Provider designations, changes in L3 services and organizational hierarchy transfers;
• Develop strong controls and reconcilement processes to ensure accurate INIE billing with minimal risk;
• Identify risk or inefficiencies in data/requirements provided by their finance peers and business line partners; 
• Perform backup role to the Finance Manager;
• Provide a mentor role to other Cost Consultants along with coaching on model designs, standard formats, report logic, and variance analysis.
 

Required Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: finance, accounting, analytics and reporting; or a BS/BA degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Economics, Business and 4+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: finance, accounting, analytics or reporting

Desired Qualifications

  • A BS/BA degree or higher in one or a combination of the following: Finance, Accounting, Analytics, or Reporting
  • Ability to successfully operate in a complex and matrixed environment

Other Desired Qualifications

  • Knowledgeable of WF expense distribution drivers and costing methodologies
  • Understanding of expense types for Direct and Indirect Non-Interest Expense
  • Successful experience in reporting and preparing analysis with large data volume
