Closing Manager

JFQ Lending, Inc.

This is a Contract position in Scottsdale, AZ posted June 11, 2020.

Job Description Job Summary: Manage a team of funders/doc drawers responsible for the process of generation of loan documents to be delivered to the closing/settlement agents through the funding and delivery of the loan to our investor.

Ensure the associates are fully trained and educated on LOS system, doc vendor, branch processes and other tools necessary to be effective in their role.

Assist as necessary to effectively manage the workload to meet or exceed established service levels for doc delivery and funding.

Essential Job Functions Supervise daily activity of the funders to ensure effective management of workload.

Monitor file flow to ensure SLA’s are consistently met or exceeded Manage training of Funders including the LOS, FHA Connection, regulatory and compliance policies, 3rd party vendor services and any other area necessary to be effective in their role Manage and redistribute workload when necessary to maintain established service levels and ensure a positive customer service experience Organize and facilitate regular department meetings Participate in the selection and interview process for Funder candidates Communicate with the Operations Manager, Sales Manager and other appropriate positions when service levels are at risk Always serve as a role model for peers and associates by acting with integrity and in a positive manner Act as a role model of the company’s values, acting in an ethical and professional manner in all respects Participate in management meetings as needed Carry out management responsibilities in accordance with JFQ Lending’s policies and applicable state laws for team of associates including training, coaching, supervising, motivating, planning, assigning and directing work; monitoring performance and taking appropriate action when necessary Constantly evaluate the processes for improvement opportunities Develop and/or work with the training resources to develop training programs to ensure adequate growth and development of associates Identify and develop a successor to this role Perform other duties and special projects as required Follow up with any post-closing issues which may arise Develop or utilize system reports to effectively monitor and manage individual funder productivity and take appropriate action when necessary Develop reports or utilize system tracking functionality, if available, to track the results of the post-closing file review as defined by JFQ Lending’s policy and procedures.

Identify negative operational trends, initiate corrective action and make recommendations to change process Ensure prompt delivery of final/recorded documents to Corporate Work with document vendor, as necessary, to ensure loan documents are in compliance with state and federal requirements Act as liaison for closing/funding questions from other departments Essential Job Skills Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to provide vision and inspiration to peers and others Knowledge of FHA/VA/USDA regulations as well as FNMA/FHLMC and investor underwriting guidelines Maintain working knowledge of all loan JFQ Lending’s programs to ensure loans conform with program requirements through the loan process and to able to answer questions as needed Working knowledge of lending compliance and regulations Working knowledge of Wholesale, Mini-Correspondent and Correspondent business channel operations Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) programs Natural collaborative approach to decision-making Clear understanding of the implications of customer service Effective decision-making, customer service, sales, customer support and problem-solving skills Strong attention to detail and accuracy Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to multi-task and work in a deadline driven environment Ability to work effectively in a team environment Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills Ability to work effectively in a team environment Self-Motivated Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) programs Customer focused Qualifications and Experience Minimum of 5 years mortgage lending experience preparing loans documents and funding loans with recent exposure to government and agency originations Minimum of 2 years Team Lead, Supervisor or Management experience Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality Working knowledge of the mortgage process Knowledge of RESPA 2010 Encompass LOS experience is desired but not required Knowledge of loan regulatory guidelines Operational knowledge of wholesale residential lending, including production and support functions Professional written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills Working knowledge of RESPA 2010, HMDA, and Appraisal Independence Requirements (AIR) Pay and Benefits Full benefits 401K Compensation is negotioable
