Escrow Supervisor

Real Leadership What you’ll do: You lead the team that tracks other people’s money.

As a Coldwell Banker Escrow Supervisor, your team ensures that buyers’ earnest money is accurately deposited – and ultimately disbursed – in the right amount, to the right people, at the right time.

Your job has two components – process and people.

On the process side, you oversee daily operations and workflows, ensuring the highest level of accuracy in team processing, adherence to audit policies and reviewing important legal documents and statutes.

It’s your job to resolve first-level escalations.

On the people side, you hold team members to high standards, coaching them to be the best they can be, setting individual and team goals, developing career paths, and identifying skills and opportunities to help them grow.

Who you are: Escrow expert , knowing the intricacies of all aspects of the escrow process, enabling you to ensure accurate, timely work from your team.

Keen observer , identifying and analyzing trends in the office and in the industry; able to respond by recommending solutions to improve performance or processes.

Proven leader , who can strike the balance of setting and meeting business productivity goals while motivating and inspiring team members.

Detail demon , knowing that there’s no such thing as a small detail; inspiring your team to get it right, and find and fix mistakes before they cause problems.

Strong communicator , with the ability to work together with team members to set goals, identify strengths and develop opportunities.

Multi-tasker , highly organized, able to handle a large workload with various agents and offices simultaneously under deadline pressure.

Your responsibilities: Money management , verifying and approving both earnest money deposits from escrow coordinators and disbursements at closing.

Payment processing , reviewing and approving wire transfers of funds at closing; stopping payments and reissuing disbursement checks as necessary.

Tracking accounts , identifying customers’ deposits that appear to be abandoned and remitting the funds to the appropriate state if the customer cannot be found.

Assuring compliance , knowing and applying the escrow rules and regulations in various states to ensure we operate lawfully and avoid investigations and penalties.

Serving customers , committed to providing white-glove service to internal and external customers, enhancing the Coldwell Banker brand; able to work in a team environment.

Leading teams , providing strong leadership to motivate your team, establishing goals and enabling them to meet them.

Qualifications What we want you to have: Education : Associate’s degree; bachelor’s degree a plus.

Previous experience : Prior customer service or real estate industry experience a plus.

Leadership : Three to five years’ previous supervisory experience.

Communication : Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Coaching : Able to provide constructive feedback through coaching, on-the-job experience and training.

Computer skills : Proficient in Microsoft Office suite applications; advanced Excel and data entry skills are essential; able to learn and coach new software programs.
