Jr. Government Relations Manager

POSITION OVERVIEW: Acronis SCS is seeking a high energy Government Relations Manager with extensive federal regulatory experience
– specifically surrounding cybersecurity, defense, and procurement policies
– to assist in the continued development and execution of Acronis SCS’s government affairs functions.

As a Government Affairs Manager, you will report directly to Acronis SCS’s Senior Director of External Affairs to identify and track relevant legislation as well as work closely with internal and external stakeholders to identify and pursue sales procurement and partnership opportunities.

You will help drive Acronis SCS’s presence and position with federal, city, and county governments related to issues impacting the company, the sales team, and the industry.

You will be a representative of Acronis SCS and lead meetings with government officials to advance Acronis SCS’s position with relevant government organizations, as well as to drive broader awareness and support for Acronis SCS’s mission.

JOB RESPONSIBLTIES: Assist in developing Government Affairs and Policy priorities in support of business objectives and ensure execution and implementation of those initiatives.

Work closely with Acronis SCS business and operations teams to create opportunities through the legislative, regulatory, policy, and political environments.

Work closely with the sales team on assigned procurement opportunities.

Conduct research on local purchasing by-laws, council legislative process, and create purchasing process maps to support sales team efforts.

Develop and execute Acronis SCS’s strategic and tactical responses to pending legislation, regulation, and policy with federal elected officials, regulatory agencies, key policymakers, and trade associations.

Build solid relationships with federal, state, and city authorities, regulatory agency heads, and key policymakers to enhance Acronis SCS’s reputation and identify key partnership opportunities.

Provide thought leadership on legislative, regulatory, and industry developments, including the proactive identification and assessment of regulatory risks and the ongoing monitoring and tracking of relevant legislative and regulatory updates.
