Sr. Principal Thermal/Mechanical Engineer

The Space Systems group is seeking an experienced Mechanical Thermal Engineer in Gilbert, AZ. Candidate responsibilities include (but not limited to) the following – Apply technical principles, theories and concepts to the planning analysis, design and testing of satellitespacecraft thermal control systems – Responsible for performing thermal analysis and providing solutions to a variety of thermal related technical problems of moderate scope and complexity. – Coordinate with other engineering disciplines – Document thermal analyses and designs, – Review drawings for thermal design hardware content – Report analysis results and design specifics to internal management and external customers when necessary. – Work and execute moderately compleBasic Qualifications – Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Stem related field. (M echanical Engineering or Degrees with a focus in ThermalHeat Transfer Analysis highly preferred) – Must be a – Must have the ability to obtain Top SecretSCI Clearance with SSBI – Able to support occasional travel, 2nd3rd shift andor extended work week as required for Integration andor Test support. Preferred Qualifications – Experience using thermal analysis tools (SINDAG, SINDAFLUENT, TSS, Thermal Desktop) – Prior experience with NASA spacecraft programs and processes – Detail-oriented and have excellent verbal and written communications skills – Professional work experience relating to analysis and design of spacecraft thermal control systems and components – An active Top Secret Clearance with SSBI Northrop Grumman is committed to hiring and retaining a diverse workforce.
