Provider Contract AnalystOverview of PositionThe Contract Analyst position will be responsible for the analysis, maintenance, and coordination of contracts post contract negotiations.

Such duties will be inclusive of auditing contract builds, identifying reimbursement opportunities and assisting in the building of client contracts for future modeling.

The position works with members of management, the business office, account management, and reporting liaisons to successfully report and monitor comprehensive indicators of profitability and payment accuracy.

What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?Evaluate and recommend enhancements for formalized repository of contractsAudit new and existing contracts in designated contract management system to ensure accuracy of rates and structureDevelop health plan payment strategies to improve inpatient and outpatient reimbursementResearch and communication of the root cause of systematic profitability and/or payment variance problems What are the requirements needed for this position?Bachelor’s degree with a preference for Business, Healthcare Administration, or equivalentA minimum of 2 years of working with both inpatient and outpatient healthcare reimbursement modelsKnowledge of managed care contracts and related pricing structureKnowledge of managed care terms, such as principles and practices of healthcare service, and capitation versus fee for serviceModerate skillset in MS Excel and Adobe PDF What other skills/experience would be helpful to have?Excellent written and oral communications skillsStrong organizational and analytical skills What are the working conditions and physical requirements of this job?
