Nurse Manager, Nights

Job Summary

The Multi-Care Unit is a blended unit that takes ICU, PCU and Med/Surg/Tele patients. The Nurse Manager supports the vision of the Total Healing Environment and the values of respect, integrity, accountability, commitment and quality assuring standards of practice are followed by providing leadership to the assigned unit; managing daily operations and patient flow; coordinating personnel, resources and equipment; promoting teamwork and professional staff development; providing leadership support in absence of the Director.

Job Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• Must hold a current, valid Arizona or compact state RN license
• Three years of RN experience, with two years of experience in the clinical specialty preferred
• One year of leadership experience (e.g. charge nurse or other clinical leadership or management role)
• Must be current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Provider certified
• Current AHA ACLS certification required
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing providing excellent customer service
• Basic computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Windows

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nursing or related field
• Three years of progressively responsible nursing leadership experience strongly preferred
• Membership of relevant professional organization preferred
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience preferred; Cerner strongly preferred
