Commercial HVAC Superintendent – Mechanical Contractor – Base Salary to $80k + Commission + Benefits – Tempe, AZ Our client is a full-service Mechanical Contractor with over 25 years of experience in the Phoenix Metro Area.

With proficiency in residential and commercial HVAC service, they have also specialized in Residential and Commercial new construction and remodel projects.

The Commercial HVAC Field Superintendent is an absolutely crucial player on this team.

This person will be reporting to directly to the operations manager and their main objective is to successfully execute jobs in the field on commercial New Construction and Renovation Projects.

They will be overseeing internal installation teams to execute success based on job contracts and specified budgets.

They will be tasked with leadership to delegate tasks to installers, coach and direct, ensure safety, and monitor quality.

They will schedule hands on meetings, follow change orders, order materials, and monitor the schedule.

Additional Job Duties Understand job specific labor and material budgets and manage under those guidelines.

Work with coordinator to monitor job costs in Success Ware based on original contract budget.

Take part in new job hand-off meetings with coordinator and salesperson, prior to beginning work.

Hold daily team meetings to assign tasks to team members.

Hold daily safety meetings to assess job safety in general but also to specific jobs, including but not limited to; ladder safety, scissor lifts, forklifts, fall protection, eye and face protection and proper hydration.

Participate in weekly department and specific leadership meetings as required.

Maintain a positive attitude to properly motivate and execute all jobs in an efficient and timely manner.

Report to operations manager daily.

Hold yourself to the appropriate dress code requirements of a Wolff Mechanical field employee, (proper attire, uniforms, hats etc.).

Coaching of field personnel in your charge when they fail to comply with company policy, processes, safety practices, or generally not preforming to proper company standards.

(This needs to always be documented and have operations manager involved).

Ordering of all materials needed for jobs in a COMPLETE & TIMELY manner using company email to communicate to coordinator or warehouse purchasing agent and obeying all processes to ensure proper efficiencies.

Properly create change orders using Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) method.

Submit to sales manager for review and approval prior to submitting to builder.

Once signed by builder, turn in to coordinator for billing and sales manager for revenue tracking Qualifications A minimum of 5+ years in a leadership role in the commercial HVAC/R industry (either an experienced hands-on Foreman or Superintendent) Experience specifically with commercial ground up construction projects OR commercial remodeling projects on any of the following: Commercial retail space, healthcare/hospital space, high-rise office space, luxury apartment complexes and more Strong understanding of new construction blueprints and schematics Understanding of project schedule management and forecasting Proficiency at material acquisition and monitoring Expert in leadership of subcontractors with the ability to motivate and lead a fast-moving workforce Understanding of safety and quality oversight and the ability to schedule and run update meeting with owners’ reps, architects, engineers, and Project Managers Must be technology savvy – experience specifically with Bluebeam is highly desired but not required Ability to monitor a job budget and deadline forecasting Must be very safety minded – OSHA 30 is highly desired Strong leadership and communication skills both verbally and written Compensation Strong base salary from $60,000 $80,000/year Ability to earn 3% 6% commission on upsold materials in the field Company Vehicle and gas card is provided Credit Card provided for materials purchases Fully comprehensive Medical Insurance – 80% company paid for employee only Dental and Vision Insurance 401(k) program with a guaranteed 4% company match Tool Program – company will purchase up to $1,000 of tools for employee annually after 90 days of employment 7 Paid Holidays Paid Time Off Click Here for QUICK APPLY Hassle Free & Easy #MONSTJOB #BPCHVAC321
