Job Summary As a Jr. Cyber Security Automation Engineer at MUFG, you will focus on the tools, processes, and methods needed to design, implement, and test complete systems and to adapt existing systems as the environment evolves. You will be responsible for automating the vulnerability management, security configuration compliance monitoring process tasks. The role of the Jr. Cyber Security Automation Engineer will be part of a team that is responsible for engineering solutions and providing operational automation support for tools used. The engineer will be part of a team that will work closely with key stakeholders within vulnerability management and security configuration compliance monitoring teams and provide project support. Major Responsibilities Gather requirements for automation opportunities, brainstorm and implement solution leveraging scripting, integration APIaposs etc. Drive operational efficiency by automating manual process tasks proactively. Help identify metrics and KPIs that could be tracked to measure the operational efficiency and engineer the respective remediation. Apply a variety of analysis tools to interpret data and identify key learnings and patterns. Produce visualizations of data to monitor for developing trendspatterns and highlight areas of potential improvement. Qualifications Undergraduate Degree in Computer Science Preferred 3-5 years’ experience in information technology with emphasis on information security is required 1-2 years’ experience in scripting language (Python), integrations with SaaS using REST API requests, parsing XML response and persisting results in database (MS-SQL preferred) 1-2 years’ experience working with cloud native application security and infrastructure is required (AWS preferred) 1-2 years’ experience working with cloud native application security and infrastructure is required (AWS preferred) Background in network traffic analysis Knowledge of networking protocols TCPIP, HTTPHTTPs, FTP, IRC etc. Able to work independently on tasks, but also work well within a team environment Excellent communication skills and able to adapt to the audience The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of the work being performed.
