This is a Full-time position in Phoenix, AZ posted November 28, 2021.

Job Description WORK SCHEDULE: 2nd Shift (10:00am 6:30pm, Monday Friday) SUMMARY: The Shipping Clerk is responsible for operating a forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack and count merchandise.

The operator is accountable for the safe and efficient operation of the vehicle and may also be required to perform order filler and checker duties.

Load, unload, move, stack, and stage product and materials using a forklift, clamp truck, or other power equipment.

Perform picking duties in an efficient manner that meets customer service standards.

Unload inbound shipments safely and move product to storage locations.

Efficiently stack and store the merchandise in the appropriate areas Pull and prepare product for shipment, ensuring that the exact number and type of product is loaded and shipped, efficiently move product from staging and/or storage areas Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following prescribed work methods Ensure proper stock rotation, FIFO (First In, First Out) Coordinate with carrier representatives to plan instructions for shipping and delivery of outgoing internal material transfers and incoming raw materials Outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage and report quality variances Pack, seal, label, and affix postage to prepare internal material transfers for shipping Wear all assigned Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when required Report all work related injuries, illnesses, and/or near misses to management immediately Maintain departmental housekeeping standards, such as keeping floors swept and absent of debris that may be a work hazard Efficiently move product from staging and/or storage areas into rail cars or trailers Use radio frequency equipment for picking, receiving, put away and load functions, as required Maintain the facility’s equipment and materials in a neat, clean and orderly fashion Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety, complying with OSHA and MSDS standards Provide thorough training to employees including but not limited to new hires, transfers, and newly promoted employees as needed QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS: Minimum of 3 to 5 years relevant print industry experience in inventory, receiving, supply chain and operations Experience in operating forklifts Must have competent-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Google applications Solid understanding of health and safety regulations Basic math, English skills and recording abilities Excellent organizational skills Ability to perform mathematical functions of addition, subtraction, multiplication and division Ability to work flexible, extended hours and weekends as required Great communication and interpersonal abilities High school diploma DESIRED CHARACTERISTICS: Able to communicate effectively, written and orally Mechanically inclined and production oriented Team Player with high team spirit– stays to get the job done Happy to work and accept varying shifts PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
