Calibration Technician

This is a Full-time position in Phoenix, AZ posted June 21, 2021.

A Calibration Technician position in Phoenix, AZ is available with Graham Personnel Services. This is a Direct Hire job opportunity offering a competitive salary and excellent benefits package.

Some of the Responsibilities of the Calibration Technician include:

  • Update and maintain the Calibration Log for all equipment in the Site.
  • Works closely with Production Supervisors and Department Managers to ensure equipment stays in calibration without impacting development,  production, and delivery to the customer.
  • Develop and automate calibration and maintenance schedules.
  • Use various tools to calibrate electrical, mechanical, and electronic instruments and equipment. Ensure that recording, measuring, and indicating devices and equipment meet established standards and consistently produce accurate and reliable results.
  • Perform or schedule maintenance, using hand tools and prescribed PPE (Face shield, heat resistant gloves and apron, steel toe shoes, safety goggles) to ensure instruments and equipment meet performance and quality standards.
  • Document service through reports and Logs. Prepare calibration certificates, data reports, and written recommendations
  • Performs tasks in accordance with all federal, state and county guidelines.
  • Contributes to the team; exhibits professionalism with customers, fellow employees and others.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Some of the Qualifications/Requirements of the Calibration Technician include:


Education/Training and Experience

  • At least 5 years of relative experience
  • Military or Technical School
  • ASQ Certified Calibration Technician

Skills Required

  • Safety awareness.
  • Well organized, with good attention to detail; a good listener and communicator.
  • Measurement skills in basic units, calculate and convert derived units, and measurement standards.
  • Mathematical knowledge- applied and technical mathematics
  • Troubleshooting capability to determine root cause
  • Analytical ability

Other Requirements

  • Must be able to work extended hours on occasion.
  • Shift may require weekend or nights to avoid production down time.
  • Wear PPE i.e., smock around factory floor.
