Action Behavior Centers is seeking a postdoctoral fellow to assist with our evaluation services for children suspected of having autism.

This is an ideal role for a candidate with an interest in assessment and diagnosis of autism and other developmental disorders.

The opportunity provides in-depth exposure to understanding autism through working with a diverse population of children with developmental concerns, as well as becoming an expert on several gold standard assessment tools.

The position involves excellent learning opportunities not only from a direct supervising psychologist, but also from our Director of Evaluation and Research and organized training.

Founded in 2016 in Austin, TX, Action Behavior Centers provide comprehensive ABA therapy to children with autism.

Duties:Conduct standardized assessments for autism evaluations including but not limited to: ADOS-2, CARS-2, ASRS, BASC-3, Vineland-3, DAS-II, DP-4 (training will be provided as needed)Write diagnostic evaluation reports based on interpretation of test resultsWrite summaries of assessments completed for physician referralsProvide diagnostic findings, recommendations, and feedback for families based on assessment results, and in collaboration with regional psychologistParticipate in weekly supervision with the regional licensed psychologistAssist the psychologist in providing regional oversight of other clinicians supporting assessment servicesSome travel within the region is requiredQualifications:Applicants must have completed their Doctorate degree in clinical, counseling or school psychologyExperience with psychological assessment of children, preferably with autism and other developmental differencesPrevious education in developmental disorders and related differential diagnosisExcellent written communication skills and attention to detailNatural ability to connect with children and parents.BenefitsAmple paid time off & work-life balanceExcellent, high-quality supervisionTime allotted for report writingGenerous health and a variety of other perk benefitsReimbursement for CEUs and license renewalsManagement that is responsive, supportive, and promotes a strong company and team cultureJob Type: Full-time; potential opportunity for future employment post-licensure
