DevSecEngineering Leader

We are actively hiring for a DevSec Engineering Leader!

Join us and support CSAA Insurance Group, a AAA Insurer, in achieving our goals.We are looking for motivated, innovative individuals, who think big and move fast with a passion for service excellence.This position exists to develop and manage IT Security DevSecEngineering services and products that support and enhance the value of the CSAA IG systems.

The functions include (but are not limited to) development, implementation, management and communication of security information technology strategies, analysis and plans that support and enhance business productivity and profitability.

Provides leadership, vision and direction to the technical and business managers responsible for CSAA IG’s product or domain area.

You will play a key role in the Chief Information Security Office Division’s Department strategic leadership team in bringing current knowledge and future vision of technology and systems and helping to determine the organization’s overall implementation strategy for information needs.

Must achieve competency level where they can handle high level endpoint engineering and security automation staff. *Essential responsibilities* * Working with people from all areas of CSAA IG, vendors and trading partners, contributes to developing solutions and serves as an advisor and consultant on technology trends, issues, opportunities and best practices.* Presentation skills to clearly articulate, verbally and visually, complicated engineering concepts to executive audiences.

Makes recommendations on technology opportunities and provides the means to implement them within considerations for priority and available budgets and resources.* Ensures alignment and delivery to contributing to achieving corporate and line of business goals and objectives.* Leads and manages multiple Manager-led teams and ensures the high performance and productivity of those teams.* Ensures the adequacy, optimization and reliability of security products and services that support the line of business goals.* Works directly and through matrix management with leaders and members from other IT Departments in order to coordinate technology services and products that enhance the delivery and implementation of the technology strategy.* Leads internal and external resources to complete the projects within time, quality and budget expectations.* Responsible for concurrent management of several large programs and projects, and their coordination with other initiatives within the Enterprise and each other* Creates and supports succession plans that align and support organizational goals and objectives.* Utilizes processes, metrics and reporting tools that benefit the customer and ensure project goals and internal/external customer expectations are met or exceeded* Develops standards, Key Performance Indicators, Key Risk Indicators, and evaluates specific technologies, general technology trends, competencies, strategies and methodologies. *What* *would make us excited about you* * Bachelor’s degree in computer science, related subject area or equivalent experience* 10+ years in progressively sophisticated roles in information security engineering and/or IT technical project management work experience* 3+ years security management experience desired* Experience in managing successful Enterprise level IT portfolios with budgets exceeding $1M.* Demonstrable ability to lead groups, manage deliverables, and maintain client relationships* Must have a strong, diverse technical background and outstanding oral and written communications and presentation skills working in a collaborative environment.* Ability to demonstrate proven success in working in a team, as well as independently, and exhibit follow-through to understand root causes of issues.* Maintain operational stability; enforce security measures, testing, development and deployment of new Infrastructure related technologies using Agile methodologies..* Ability to work with Security Engineers to create and refine automated processes through analysis of application patterns/workflow.* Solid understanding/working knowledge of the public cloud infrastructure and services in AWS (IAM, VPC, KMS, CloudWatch, Systems Manager, S3, RDS, Route53, Lambda, AWS Config, etc.) and Azure/Office 365 is a strong plus;* Experience building and securing infrastructure as code using CloudFormation, Ansible, YAML, McAfee, CrowdStrike, SAM and/or similar tools.* Continuous Integration/ Continuous Testing/ Continuous Delivery CI/CD processes and tools* Track and monitor the usage/consumption of Infrastructure specific services; ensure performance and SLA adherence.* Coordinate all production systems, information systems, and technology infrastructure necessary to support application/platform prior to deployment.* Monitor all events that occur and detect and escalate exception conditions during CI and CD process where Infrastructure impacts applications/platform.* Commitment to continuous learning and improvement of development and quality strategies.

If performed in Nevada, this position has a salary range of $149,400-$186,800.

In compliance of *Colorado’s* *Equal Pay for Equal Work Act (EPEWA)* we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles that will be, or could be performed in Colorado.

If performed in Colorado, this position has a salary range of $142,700-$177,900.

The role includes an opportunity for a company-wide annual discretionary bonus, through our Annual Incentive Plan (AIP), of up to 18% of eligible pay.Please note, hourly or salary compensation, or the range of hourly or salary compensation available for a position may vary by location.
