ICU Coordinator

This is a Full-time position in Phoenix, AZ posted May 7, 2021.

This position is full-time (40 hours/week) Monday – Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8 hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of (8:00am – 4:30pm CST, AZ, MST, PST, AK OR HI.). It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime. This is a telecommute position.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Acting as CAC SME and fielding process-related questions from the team
  • Manage the clinical upload process, processing for incoming and outgoing faxes
  • Conducting audits and monitoring results
  • Reviewing reported errors from ICM Managers and Supervisors
  • Participating in ideation and process improvement discussions
  • Overseeing pend folders
  • Providing reporting support
  • Training and mentoring new hires
  • Completing administrative duties

Part of the challenge here is dealing positively with members and providers in sometimes challenging circumstances. As a subject matter expert, you’ll also be the “go-to” resource for information. The flexibility to work evening hours will also be required.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma / GED (or higher)
  • 2+ years experience analyzing and solving customer problems
  • 2+ years of experience working in the health care industry
  • 2+ years of experience working with medical terminology
  • Intermediate Experience working with Microsoft Word (creating, editing, saving documents) and Microsoft Excel (creating, editing, saving spreadsheets, Run Macros, copy/paste/edit/move rows/columns)Experience working with a PC and windows applications, with the ability to learn other sometimes complex systems
  • Ability to work any of our 8 hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of (8:00am – 4:30pm CST, AZ, MST, PST, AK OR HI.)
  • If you need to enter a work site for any reason, you will be required to screen for symptoms using the ProtectWell mobile app, Interactive Voice Response (i.e., entering your symptoms via phone system) or similar UnitedHealth Group-approved symptom screener. When in a UnitedHealth Group building, employees are required to wear a mask in common areas. In addition, employees must comply with any state and local masking orders

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with health care insurance
  • Experience in a hospital, physician’s office or medical clinic setting
  • Clerical or administrative support background or experience working in a call center environment
  • Experience working with Medicare and/or Medicaid Services

Colorado Residents Only: The hourly range for Colorado residents is $17.12 to $30.34.
