IT Security Analyst

Meadows Behavioral Healthcare

This is a Contract position in Phoenix, AZ posted October 23, 2020.

The Security Analyst (SA) is responsible for assisting Meadows Behavioral Healthcare (MBH) teams in driving information security technologies and standards for our organization. The primary responsibility of this position is the daily monitoring, review and resolution of security events. This position will also contribute towards the creation of some technical information security documentation, and provide oversight of new and existing policies, standards and practices, ensuring the underlying policies and procedures are supported. The Information Security Operations team supports several enterprise tools and systems that are the backbone for many of the critical applications and business processes. The Information Security Operations team ensures and enhances the availability, reliability and accessibility of Information Security systems and tools, and demonstrates the MBH Information Technology (IT) departments vision and alignment to the business objectives and strategy.

  • Supporting role in securing MBH systems and data from potential threats or compromise, including tasks related to vulnerability scanning, scheduling, and remediation
  • Actively participates in security threat monitoring, attack methods, and incident response, including Azure risk reviews
  • Document and conform to processes related to security monitoring and detection, including SIEM monitoring and tuning
  • Cross-department collaboration and communication to ensure appropriate processes, procedures and tools are installed, monitored, and effectively operating and alerting
  • Strategy, planning, and operational excellence through continuous improvement and automation
  • Ensure monitoring of alerts and logs from enterprise security tools such as firewalls, IDS, anti-virus, data loss protection (DLP) and vulnerability scanners
  • Prioritize workflow; addressing technical and non-technical escalations and satisfaction
  • Perform cyber news analysis, security awareness development & training, and recommend new analytic methods for detecting threats
  • Participate in knowledge sharing with other technical personnel to develop various levels of skill sets on the team
  • Provides guidance and awareness of secure solutions and requirements
  • Stay informed and educated on security industry trends, potential threats and vulnerabilities
  • Support the information security function within the company as needed
  • Support the company’s commitment to protect the integrity and confidentiality of systems and data.

Job Requirements:

Associates in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent experience is preferred.

GISF, preferred.

Minimum 1 years of general IT experience. Minimum 1 years of system administration, software development, security operations, or risk & governance
