As Quality Specialist, you will deploy and facilitate the quality culture in the e-mobility division of ABB, ensuring and controlling quality to exceed customer expectations. you’ll help ensure sustainable operations, while representing the customer’s voice within local teams and providing customer experience feedback and input.

Reporting to the Operations/Supply Planner, you will provide support and assist in the maintenance of the quality management system, managing all QMS (Quality Management System) aspects in line with guidance from Electrification.

Your responsibilities

  • Assist in implementing internal controls to verify that processes meet requirements, and making sure that control plans are applied and effective in mitigating risks
  • Enable and coach employees to evaluate risks, problems, and solutions from a customer/stakeholder point of view
  • Utilize systems and tools to assist the Engineering function with product data and evaluations to ensure that products meet expectations throughout their lifecycle.
  • Utilize Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) to assure effective introduction of new products
  • Help local teams apply an operational approach and process management system that are continually evaluated for effectiveness
  • Perform audits and using analytics to identify risks, failures, and non-conformances, and assisting in applying corrective and preventive action
  • Provide quality training to local teams, enabling them to define and document processes that are efficient and under control

Your background

  • Bachelor’s degree required with minimum 5-8 years of experience in an industrial environment, working in a quality role; Knowledge of electric vehicle (EV) chargers highly desirable.
  • Experience working with EV chargers and electronic components in the EV infrastructure market, chargers is preferred.
  • Experience with SAP, ZenDesk and Salesforce strongly preferred.
  • Must have a collaborative, solution-focused approach with strong written and spoken communication skills.
  • Language fluency in English, both written and verbal; Bi-lingual, Spanish/English is a plus.
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
