The Quality Specialist has the role of deploying and facilitating the quality culture in Electrification Power Conversion, ensuring and controlling quality to exceed customer expectations while ensuring sustainable operations, and representing the customer’s voice within local teams, providing customer experience feedback and input.

Reporting to the Quality Manager, interprets and defines safety improvement actions, operating efficiency, quality and productivity in the value chain, to improve customer satisfaction and increase profitability in a safe working environment within the local business.

This position is open for Plano, New York, New Jersey, Vermont.

Northeast region and remote.

Your responsibilities Promote, support and expand the Services Quality Management System (QMS) to accelerate the rate of operational improvement, with resulting cost savings within the operation Interpret industry customer standards and follow up with execution in the deployment of services.

Assists with the creation and implementation of, and ensures conformance with, instructions, guidelines, and procedures to drive standardization and consistent execution in delivery of customer requirements Establish and implement QMS priorities and targets in cooperation with functional team members across all functions within the local operation, monitors progress and supports actions on deviations from targets Trains and coaches local teams in the standard quality improvement approach to develop organization capability to continuously improve business practices and performance Conducts benchmarking and best practice spreading within the operations to embed a culture of excellence in operational performance Assists with the analysis and communication of customer perceptions to guide the local improvement actions toward greater customer satisfaction Travels 60%, as required Your background HS Diploma with minimum of 5 equivalent field experience.

DC Power Installation experience is required.

Knowledge of Engineering requirements of DC Power products.

Five years of experience in telecommunication, Datacenter or Industrial Segments.

Understanding of TELCO quality requirements.

Available to work in the New England or Mid-Atlantic states desired.

Technical experience with DC Power products and services desired.

Requires strong communication skills with varying levels of the organization desired.

Master Electrician desired.

Experience in the use of computer-based management and administrative tools (i.e.

MS Office, SalesForce, Workfront, etc).

Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
