Our clients include economic development organizations, chambers of commerce, state and local governments, and workforce agencies.

Your key responsibilities In your role as an intern, you’ll focus on supporting clients and our team while working to consistently deliver exceptional client service across the entire engagement life cycle.

You’ll be responsible for the delivery of support related to community and economic development, workforce, and organizational excellence.

This may include managing project logistics, participating in stakeholder engagement, conducting research, sharing strategy ideas, and assisting the team with internal project processes.

You’ll help support the full engagement life cycle of economic development-related advisory engagements, including: Managing project logistics, planning resources and supporting overall client needs Facilitating project processes, such as writing proposals, drafting contracts, reporting on progress and initiating client billing Engaging with clients and client communities to collect input (e.g., focus groups, interviews and surveys) to inform solutions Conducting leading practice and trend research Providing ideas that support our client deliverables​ What we look for You have an agile, growth-oriented mindset.

Qualifications .

A predicted degree in Business, Economics, Marketing, Public Policy, Urban Planning or related field; master’s degree preferred Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills, as well as a strong problem-solving ability, attention to detail and an entrepreneurial approach to work Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; familiarity with mapping software, including ArcGIS and CartoDB; experience building dashboards using data visualization software, such as Tableau, a plus Familiarity with public economic and demographic data sources, such as the U.S.

What you can expect Our approach to hiring utilizes several different formats throughout the course of the recruiting process.
