Responsibilities:Acting as a long or short-term substitute teacher for a variety of grade levels and subjects across multiple AMS campuses in the Phoenix metro areaUse AMS curriculum standards to teach students above and below grade-level through a differentiated approachWorking with classroom teachers as needed on lesson planning and gradingAttending weekly professional development and meetings with grade level team/professional learning communitiesOverseeing daily recess, arrival, dismissal, morning, and/or lunch duties, in order to ensure student and staff safetyDepending on assignment, observing, participating in, or leading parent-student-teacher meetings and required parent communicationCommunicating with parents and leading parent-student-teacher meetings to facilitate progress in and outside of the classroomCoordinating with administrators and other staff members to create an environment focused on meeting students’ academic and behavioral needsUsing measurable data, track student performance and enrich their progress with visible resultsUse PBIS and preventative intervention strategies to guide student progress in developing social and emotional skills that will help them navigate a path to higher learningWhy work for us?For those interested, the opportunity to learn and grow into a full-time classroom teaching position through comprehensive, hands-on trainingCompetitive salaries and bonus pay opportunitiesFully paid employee benefits including medical, dental, short/long term disability, and life insurance; optional low-cost vision insurance and 401k retirement plan (with 4% employer match)May qualify for federal student loan forgiveness since we are a Title 1 schoolSupportive, collaborative culture with incredible coworkers and leadersExtensive opportunities for career mobility and advancement as our network continues to grow and expand to new areasThe chance to truly make a difference in the lives of children who may not otherwise have access to a high-quality educationCompensation and Benefits:Salary $35,000-$37,500 per year depending on education and experience.
