nn nnThis person will focus in 2021 and 2022 primarily on driving automation of manual underwriting.

This is one of our highest priority initiatives during 2021.

We have a clear agenda and need really strong “get it done” leadership and project management to be successful.

This person will also play a major role in driving future improvements in our manual underwriting operations and credit policy.nn nnHiring manager (VP level) is seeking someone who can take on a meaningful share of his duties, in order to enable team to increase quantity and speed of delivery.

This will come from this person taking on specific improvement agendas, partnering with technology teams, overseeing analysts to develop proposals and/or providing direct oversight to ensure changes are implemented correctly.

This person must have the ability to fully deliver on changes, from idea through successful implementation.

nn nn nn nnPosition Responsibilities:nn Automation of Manual Underwriting: Enable success in digital transformation agenda by developing, testing, and implementing policy and practice changes that enable automated underwriting (approval of loan applications, income verification and identity verifications) This person will come in midway into an already developed agenda and focus most squarely on delivery of key initiatives and monitoring/optimizing once implemented Drive Continuous Improvement in Human Underwriting: Develop and drive an agenda of improvements in our manual underwriting operations Evaluate and recommend ways to streamline verifications of identity, income and assets Identify and drive underwriting improvements that will increase conversion rates for online applications Oversee and Drive Analysis: Direct analysts in team to perform complex analysis to clarify opportunities and quantify expected benefits from business proposals Project manage and oversee analysts to successfully monitor results from changes Strategic & analytic orientation: A proven track record of decision making and problem solving based on analytics Effective Senior Level Presenter: Develop and deliver PowerPoint presentations that outline and support your proposals that are compelling and convincing to VP and C-level executives.

Get it done (Project Manager): You will be able to fully deliver on changes, from idea, to proof of concept, to strategy change proposal, to successful implementation, to optimizing after implemented Analytics: Leverage combination of following to drive actionable business insights: Financial modeling, SQL, hypothesis testing, statistical analysis and forensic analysis Technology Partner: Work closely with our Product teams to document business requirements and preferred designs to deliver on them.

Collaborate: with cross functional partners in finance, operations, IT, compliance, etc.

to get initiatives implemented and achieve business objectives nn nn nnQualifications and Education Requirements:nn nn
· 5+ years of experience with unsecured loan, credit card, or auto loans credit policy analysis and/or operationsnn nn
· 2+ years of direct experience working in / on manual underwriting operations OR direct experience focused on improving credit policy nn nn
· 2+ years working in an analytic role or working closely with analytic professionals nn nn
· Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, Scientific field, Finance, or Accounting nn nn
· Experience leveraging PowerPoint to outline data driven executive level proposals nn nn
· Ability to analyze data to identify improvement opportunities nn nn
· Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision and direction nn nn
· Ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to diverse groups (executives, product managers, operations) nn nn
· Able to manage projects from start to finish nn nn
· Strong MS Excel skills nn nn
· Capable SQL skills nn nn nn nnPreferred Skills:nn nn
· MBA or Master’s Degree in Engineering nn nn
· 8+ years of experience with unsecured loan, credit card, or auto loans credit policy analysis and/or operationsnn nn
· 2+ years working in a consulting firmnn nn
· Experience leveraging PowerPoint to outline and communicate analytic results nn nn
· Understanding of how to leverage regression analysis and decision trees to prove merits of a proposed improvement nn nn
· Experience developing financial models in Excel nn nn
