OVG facilities has an excellent and immediate opening for a Director of Marketing at the Legacy Sports Park opening in January of 2022.

Legacy Sports Park is a 320-acre multi-use family, sport and entertainment complex of outdoor and indoor team athletic facilities geared toward high-energy entertainment and sports in Mesa, Arizona.

Responsibilities:

The Director of Marketing calls for a dynamic marketer that has experience in promoting youth and amateur sporting events as well as live entertainment.

The position is responsible for the planning and implementing of the Park’s marketing strategy including branding, ticket sales, media buying, partnership marketing, youth sports, social and digital media.

The Director of Marketing acts as a liaison and works in collaboration with all team members, events, guests and other Park stakeholders to ensure brand alignment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop and oversee strategic marketing plans with the objective of attracting large scale music events, youth and professional sporting events, community events and beyond Effectively works with Management Team to create meaningful brand and performance KPIs that can be tracked and reported over time  Evaluate the impact of marketing programs in achieving their stated objectives  Serve as an asset to the OVG Sponsorship team on day-to-day sponsorship proposals, implementation, and fulfillment Develop marketing best practices and workflows for the Park Set digital strategy and build and maintain website, digital marketing, e-commerce, and all social media platforms  Remain current on industry trends and local market insights to inform marketing strategies  Manage internal marketing assets for all events including but not limited to marquees (digital billboards), in-arena digital video boards and ticket giveaways, LED ribbons, posters and more  Develop and execute social media campaigns, email marketing, and promotions to drive tournament and event bookings, ticket sales and guest engagement Prepare press releases for events and venue initiatives Provide ongoing media training to the front office staff, technical staff, and other stakeholders who may interface with the media on behalf of the Park Develop and implement creative cash/trade proposals/campaigns with media partners including digital, radio, print, TV and outdoor  Foster long-term relationships with key accounts while building a path to renew annual business Fully evaluate marketing programs and use learnings to inform future tactics  Work with other Park departments to create promotions and marketing strategies, and communicate initiatives to attendees Assist in developing and growing youth programs to enhance youth outreach  Create and implement on-site marketing, promotions and PR campaigns targeted to youth sporting events, tournaments and other venue activities
 Required Experience & Qualifications:  5+ years’ experience in a marketing role at an entertainment venue and/or sports park Experience in marketing youth sporting events Experience in relationship management including promoters, Tournament organizers and other partners and promoters Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or an equivalent combination of education and experience in field Proven ability to think strategically with a willingness to roll up sleeves and execute on projects  Experience with creating successful marketing programs that focus on the guest experience  Must be adaptable with the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines  Proven experience in successful media buying and ad campaigns  Experience managing owned marketing channels including digital and social  Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an expert ability to present and communicate new ideas and concepts  Exceptional experience in leading, motivating and developing employees  A high degree of personal integrity and consistently put the interests of the organization first Strong ability to support creative ideation to enhance brand equity while supporting company culture, values and objectives  Must be a fierce communicator and cross-organizational collaborator 
 Preferred Experience & Qualifications:  Experience with marketing large-scale events  Experience in a marketing role during the grand opening or major renovation of an arena or stadium is highly desirable
