Global Associate Director DE&I Intelligence & Impact Lead

This is a Full-time position in Phoenix, AZ posted August 5, 2021.

The global DE&I function is responsible for the enterprise-wide strategy to mitigate or eliminate systemic and structural bias within both talent and end-to-end business practices within McCann Worldgroup.

Our Global Associate Director of DE&I Intelligence and Impact is a key player in providing thought-leadership, guidance, and meaningful content to a variety of stakeholders, at various levels, across the network, and to our Client partners as appropriate.

We are seeking a pragmatic, high performer to curate, design, deliver, scale, manage and monitor DE&I Business Intelligence pertaining specifically to the multidimensional aspects of cultural identity around the world that impact brands and society-at-large.

She/He/They must have superior writing skills and will be expected to craft compelling DE&I content based on relevant data and insights collected from a range of external and internal channels to develop bespoke intelligence based on global, regional, and local trends with a concise focus on how they impact marginalized or underrepresented groups.

The best candidate has an advanced level of expertise analyzing multiple sources of qual and quant data to ensure that MW teams are attuned to current issues in DE&I and related movements in culture that relate to diverse identity groups in culture that are important to our industry or that of MW clients.

This role is ideal for someone who performs well independently and is able to deliver in a fast-paced, matrix organization where strategic thinkers, with both a bias toward action and executional excellence, thrive and grow.

She/He/They will be expected to provide a horizontal bridge through the business to capture information of high value to support decision-making demands and the velocity of change.

Superior qualitative and quantitative data gathering and analytic skills are critical, as is significant experience synthesizing both to create written reports or presentation decks complete with data visualizations that provide clear, concise, relevant content easily understood by non-DEI practitioners.

The winning candidate is deeply passionate about DE&I as well as sociocultural issues around the world and is adept at using multiple methods, tools, and channels to enable the team to drive forward marketing and advertising products that authentically and respectfully promote equity and inclusion in the world.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Measurement, Analysis, & Reporting Lead and manage efforts to determine best methods to collect, visualize and report diversity data and metrics to support the advancement of DE&I plans in agencies, departments, offices, and disciplines Develop tools and methods to understand the socio-cultural landscape and how current events may impact MW capability to attract or retain top talent, top brands, or existing clients Partner with CDE&I and other team members to develop inclusive marketing insight products and solutions for both internal teams, Client partners, and business prospects Establish effective methodology to identify and monitor the competitive set/landscape for MW agencies and clients based on DE&I practices or achievements that positively influence sentiment in the talent or consumer marketplace.

Research & Trends Deliver world-class insights in driving business impacts through a data-driven approach.

Serve as analytics business partner to Marketing Strategy and Consumer & Business segment teams, delivering in scale with agility to allow quick responses to changing market conditions Lead integrated DE&I intelligence initiatives, on global, regional, and local scales Monitor, share and leverage DE&I research/trends (industry/cross-industry) and apply as appropriate to advance D&EI goals and objectives Create template and lead production as well as distribution of daily DE&I digest for the core team, and a monthly version for the larger Global DE&I community Partner with key stakeholders across the MW network to correlate data and insights, audiences, cultures, markets, industries to expand or strengthen our product offerings Leverage research studies, first, second, and third-party data across multiple channels to monitor performance and recommend optimization areas Create or update internal DE&I team client research decks, including DE&I programs/initiatives, commitments, goals, partners, awards/recognitions supported by relevant data and insights Research cultural norms, values, and behaviors of various talent segments to ensure targeted engagement effectiveness and equitable practices in each MW market Conduct social listening for Industry/Client Brands to stay ahead of trends, monitor brand sentiment and be well versed in current cultural conversations Strategy & Leadership Partner with CDEIO to educate key stakeholders about best practice measurement and accountability protocols for diversity/inclusion initiatives; Curate content to be leveraged by CDEIO for various constituency groups and stakeholders Lead development and execution of annual DE&I Truth Study in partnership with our Global Intelligence Thought Leadership Unit, Truth Central Lead, manage and execute the evolution of the Digital MW Diversity Playbook for global senior leadership.

Manage appropriate as site updates and permission approvals.

Ensure continuous monitoring of site functionality.

Curate and regularly update/refresh content to increase relevance and usage base on audience needs Lead strategy, comms, and deployment of the employee version of the DE&I Playbook.

Manage communications strategy and complete roll out across the network.

Design, develop and package bespoke DE&I related studies Other projects or assignments as assigned Skills and Experience BA/BS in a field that emphasizes analyzing, displaying, or reporting on data (e.g., computer science, math, engineering, economics, statistics, psychology) or equivalent data analysis work experience; Master’s degree/Ph.D.

a plus 7 years of experience in brand strategy, digital marketing, or related field 7 years of experience with validating and auditing data and reports from multiple systems Experience working in the creative and/or service industry a plus Quantitative aptitude with extensive experience leveraging relevant data and deep insights to craft data-based, engaging storytelling presentations for novice audiences/stakeholder groups Significant experience engaging cross-functional partners to assemble workstreams Advanced level of competency with all MS Office suite tools, particularly Power BI, PowerPoint, and Excel (vlookups, pivots, macros, etc.) Extensive knowledge of and experience across a broad range of social media platforms media analytical tools Experience differentiating basic data vs.
