Program Director, Global Project Management

Celerion  seeks a full-time, experienced  Program Director to join our team.

This critical role is accountable for relationship development and management of assigned strategic sponsor account.

This role is responsible for project deliverables and client satisfaction across a program of studies, These deliverables include, but are not limited to, study level expertise in a variety developing and managing early development plans, program study timelines and budgets, working with cross-functional teams, and communicating and escalating status and issues to peers and senior management.

Position requires a high level of leadership, collaboration and relationship-building to ensure optimal project success.

Please note: This role may be located in our Tempe, AZ office, Lincoln, NE office, or based remotely (working from home anywhere in the US ).

Essential Functions:

  • Manages a portfolio of projects for an assigned client, by leading the cross-functional Celerion team, including matrix oversight of project managers working in support of sponsor account
  • Serve as project manager of assigned projects
  • Facilitate highly effective team building and communication
  • Owns and achieves Project delivery in accordance with the contracted scope, budget and timelines,
  • Primary Liaison between Celerion and the Client, fosters high-level of communication between the project teams
  • Oversight for development, implementation and Maintenance of project-related documentation, includes authorship as applicable
  • Provides regular reporting on project metrics, the status of deliverables and risks/issues
  • Implements change management where appropriate to alleviate bottlenecks, improving processes and procedures to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the organization
  • Leads client meetings, including documenting meeting outcomes


  • Bachelor’s degree required (degree emphasis in life science discipline preferred)
  • Requires high-level skills in the areas of organization, multi-tasking, relationship-building, communication, judgment, problem-solving, persuading and negotiating
  • Minimum 5 years clinical research industry experience
  • 3 years Project Management experience
  • Phase 1 research preferred
