Senior Vice President of Business Development / Sales

Govig Healthcare, the premier Executive Search firm in the Healthcare industry, is seeking a Senior Vice President of Business Development for a strong start-up Life Sciences company in Phoenix!

A successful candidate will be a financially driven, highly motivated life sciences sales professional.

They will be self-directed, optimistic, competitive, detailed, disciplined, highly technical, capable of confidently engaging at the C-suite level, and ready to lead-from-the-front.

Responsibilities:
Initially, establish and activate the channel, winning joint pilots that are successfully developed into showcases.
Engage direct customers, cross-organizationally, top-down at the board and CXO-level, bottoms-up at the business and technology decision-maker level, strategically at the corpdev or M&A level, identifying, engaging, and winning over the key:

– Business decision-makers CXO-level sponsors capable of signing the deal.

– Technical decision-makers, CTO / equivalent, capable of validating the AI.

– Corpdev / M&A segment specialists essential to a successful deal.
Drive the sales process once the customer is engaged, winning over stakeholders, navigating the politics, managing internal technical, financial and analyst resources, and the client executives to win the deal.
Structure and negotiate the termsheet.
Ensure smooth management of the due-diligence process.
Structure and lead negotiation, producing a definitive agreement.
Function as a PR spokesperson, conference presenter, high-intensity networker, lobbyist, helping to establish the company’s brand as iconic in the industry.
Other Skills:
Experience in sales within the Biotech / Life Sciences.
Understand that objections are natural to the sales cycle and be preemptive in overcoming them.

Enjoy operating in a high-velocity startup without all the infrastructure of a larger organization.
Comfortable with complexity; understand that AI is one of the most complex products to sell.
Understand that sales is psychology.

Pay: From $150,000.00 per year
